10 VERY awkward moments every 20 something goes through

JOE

And you thought being a teenager was awkward.

Well, let us tell you that your 20s are a whole different ball game… one of those ball games where you’re not entirely sure what you’re doing and there’s another awkward moment around every corner.

Worry not though, as the legendary Mr Tayto has your back.

Just look at how he helped this poor young one.

Here are 10 very awkward moments that every 20 something goes through…

Meeting your partner’s parents.

There’s nothing quite like the cold dead stare from the father of the person that you’re sharing a bed with.

He probably doesn’t want to kill you. Probably.

The first time you mess up a job interview.

It happens to us all, so don’t worry too much. If the interview isn’t going your way, just embrace it.

You’re not going to get the job anyway, so just tell them that you’re only there for “cash monies, 60 Gs baby.”

When your parents visit and they realise that you’re not a proper adult just yet.

“No milk for tea” your mother will exclaim. Little does she know, there’s no tea for tea.

Oh, the horror!

The point when you realise that you’re probably not going to be play for the County.

Take solace in the fact that you were a great minor. Once.

Turning on your MP3, without realising the earphones aren’t in.

Now everyone on the bus thinks you’re one of those annoying wannabe DJs. Awkward.

Collecting your social welfare in the local post office.

There will probably be some point in your 20s when you have to collect the dole in the local post office.

This will be the day when every person that you went to school with has to post a letter.

They’ll all look super successful too. We guarantee it. youthinkyouknowme

That point when you don’t get asked for ID when entering a club anymore.

You’re now a man, my son.

Then, after you get into the club you see the child you once knew and they’re legally allowed to be there.

But, they were born in 1998. NINETEEN NINETY EIGHT!

When your plans are stopped in their tracks by two very bad words, “Insufficient Funds.”

Bleh.

Texting the person the text was actually about.

This is such a common occurrence, that the legendary David O’Doherty even wrote a song about it.

Realising your hangover is going to last for a week.

Don’t worry, a bag of Tayto will sort you right out.
