Liverpool FC pay tribute to critically ill Irish fan Sean Cox

This was a very touching move made by the team on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of their match against Stoke City, Liverpool Football Club posted this image to the team's official Twitter page: https://twitter.com/LFC/status/990182271817744384 Earlier this week, 53-year-old Sean Cox, from Dunboyne in County Meath, travelled to Anfield with his brother to watch Liverpool play. He was attacked outside The Albert pub beside Anfield and has been in critical condition ever since. Two Roma fans were subsequently arrested and charged with violent disorder and inflicting grievous bodily harm. In the days since then, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke about the incident and offered his support to the Cox family, and during a press conference, could be seen sporting an Irish tricolour on his jumper in support of the critically ill Irishman.
