New dating app called LUXY bills itself as ‘Tinder without the poor people’

Guess we won't be signing up so.

Guess we won’t be signing up so.

There seems to be a trend now for more exclusive social networks, areas that are open to only some folks. In the last month we had Netropolitan, a Facebook-style social network that costs over €7,000 just to join, being set up and now a ‘Tinder without the poor people’ is set to launch.

LUXY actually used the phrase ‘Tinder without the poor people’ as the headline of their press release and the statement goes on to say that: “It works just like Tinder,” said the CEO of LUXY, who at this stage remains anonymous. “With one big exception: Our app allows users to weed out the poor and unattractive.”

The average salary of the male users on the site is over €158,000 a year and anyone who can’t match this will be removed from the app. You sign up via your Facebook page and you will have to fill in what you earn, your favourite brands and your favourite pastimes.

Apart from that it is the same as Tinder, with swipes right and left.

They say that there are 3,000 users on board already so if you think you have the money, or can fake it really well, here is the link.

It sounds so daft it we hope it is a hoax but it seems the real deal…
