“Not all heroes wear capes.”
After Ireland’s performance against Italy last night, every football fan in the country now knows this to be true.
Some heroes, for example, wear the number 19 jersey for Ireland.
It was Robbie Brady’s wonderful header than sunk Italy and sent Ireland through to the last 16 of Euro 2016, and the versatile Norwich player has been honoured in one of the coolest ways we can think of.
You might remember Will Sliney, the Marvel artist who converted last night’s captain into a superhero before the outset of the tournament. Well, Sliney’s given Brady the same treatment now. All we need now is a superhero name for him? The Golden Forehead? We’ll come up with something.
