Pic: These genius newspaper headlines really feel like they belong in Father Ted

We love this.

Paul Moore

We love this.

Everyone has their favourite Father Ted moment but for me the funniest thing that ever happened on Craggy Island was when ‘The Beast’ threatened to run havoc with the King of the Sheep competition.

We all know that Fargo Boyle, Hudd Hastings and Giant Reed were the people responsible for that debacle but who can forget Dougal’s dramatic take on what ‘The Beast’ might actually be.

According to urban myth (or Dougal’s mad head), “it lights up at night and it’s got four ears, two of them are for listening and the other two are kind of back-up ears. Its claws are as big as cups and for some reason, it’s got a tremendous fear of stamps”.

Having seen these headlines in The Star, I couldn’t help but see the similarity.

Take a look.
