PIC: This flight in London is delayed because ‘a cabin crew member is late to work’

Tony Cuddihy

The EasyJet flight from London to Paris is currently on the tarmac because a member of the cabin crew is late for his shift.

A JOE reader, who does not wish to be named, has told us that she has been sitting on the tarmac in Luton for an hour, and the captain of the plane told passengers that they can expect to be delayed even further because a member of the cabin crew is late for work.

“The captain has just informed us that we will be waiting another 30+ minutes as there is a member of cabin crew… late for work???” she writes.

“It is a completely full flight of passengers, all bags checked into the hold, 25 degree heat and presumably an airport departure queuing system all being held up because staff are too incompetent to make it to work on time.

“The poor flight crew who actually showed up on time are currently giving out the number for the customer complaints line as people are getting so angry.”

She then wrote to us a few moments later to update us…

“Just heard from the cockpit that we have a member of cabin crew currently making their way through security, and we (the passengers) have been told to ‘be nice to him when he gets here.’

“No-one knows what’s going on here and the poor cabin crew who are on the plane are keeping a low profile apart from one lovely girl.”
