GoSafe is a private security consortium that won the €80 million Garda Síochána contract to operate the network of speed camera vans back in 2009.
It’s their job to make sure road users of Ireland stick to the speed limit on dodgy roads, but one listener of the Shaun Doherty Show on Highland Radio recently spotted a GoSafe van that was driving fairly dangerously.
According to the Shaun Doherty Show Facebook page: “Gerard [a listener to the show] took these photos of a 'Go Safe' Van Saturday morning, he followed the van for 15 miles. Almost all of the time the van exceeded the speed limit on the roads traveled.
“He managed to keep up with him as the van had to slow down for traffic on the road. In these pictures you can see him overtaking a moving vehicle on a blind corner on a continuous white line.”
It’s certainly bad form from this GoSafe driver…
