Scientists reveal the recommended amount of sleep you should get every night

*JOE hits snooze button*

Are you getting enough sleep?

Monday morning is the worst time to ask someone if they think they’re getting enough sleep.

The answer will always be no, and the person is probably willing to do anything to go back to bed for a few hours.

Zoey sleep

The National Sleep Foundation has done some sleepy-time research and found the recommended amount of sleep people in different age groups need.

If there’s a baby in your house, or you’re a very advanced baby who can read, you need 17 hours a day.

If you know a 7-year-old kid, they need to be under the covers for 14 hours a day.

Moody and non-moody teenagers need around 8-10 hours, while it’s recommended that adults get 7-9 hours to function in a healthy and proper manner.

The study also found that over-sleeping isn’t good for you, and it has a the same effect as under-sleeping. Who knew?

Hmm, all that talk about sleep has made us pretty damn sleepy.
