Both sides made their point on the Late Late tonight.
The highlight of The Late Late Show was the debate about the upcoming same-sex marriage referendum which takes place on May 22.
Speaking for the ‘Yes’ campaign was Colm O’Gorman, the Executive Director of Amnesty International Ireland, and Irish Times writer Una Mullally.
The ‘No’ side was represented by Petra Conroy from Catholic Comment and blogger Keith Mills.
Here’s the Twitter reaction to the passionate debate.
"homophobic attacks have gone up in countries that have introduced same sex marriage" sounds pretty dubious.

Feel like this is for entertainment/viewer rating purposes, as opposed to genuine debate. #latelate

I'm so glad that woman from the @ISPCCChildline spoke – she summed up the issues at the heart of why voting yes is so important. #LateLate

Gay couples already have children, #marriagequality strengthens legal support for those children. And powerful message to gay kids.#latelate

Vote #YES & everybody wins, vote #NO and we demonstrate how conservative & stuck in a time warp we really are. It's a YES from me! #latelate
