Aren’t we looking well?

Not that you’ll need reminding, but St. Patrick’s Day falls this Friday, making it a very convenient long weekend for anyone that doesn’t have to work between Friday and Sunday.

Our national holiday gives us a chance to put our best foot forward and with that in mind, Tourism Ireland have produced an impressive 60-second film to encourage prospective holidaymakers to come and visit Ireland this year.

The film includes some fabulous scenic shots of Ireland from all over the country, interwoven with some great images from Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening initiative.

This year, as is the case every year, hundreds of famous landmarks and iconic sites across the globe will be illuminated in green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day; you can check out the list in full here.

International journalists from top media outlets from around the globe will take in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin this year and while the day itself is forecast to be gloomy, they might get to make the most of the balmy weather if they’re hanging around for a few days.
