Video: A Dublin Bus journey on Culture Night is a little out of the ordinary

If only every bus journey was like this…

If only every bus journey was like this…

Friday night was the eighth year of Culture Night as huge crowds gathered to avail of all the cultural activities available to them for free.

The event seems to be getting bigger year on year and allows the public, if they are willing to queue in some cases, to get to know the city a whole lot better without burning a hole in their pocket.

And music is one of the big elements of the night, with sessions even taking place right around the city and even on Dublin Bus and the Luas for impromptu gigs on the go.

This clip sent in not only shows a fine version of ‘Spanish Lady’ by 2 For The Road, it also highlights how accommodating the bus driver is, stopping the bus half ways through to allow one of the musicians grab a few refreshments.

Also keep an eye out at the 25 second mark for a guy stuck in his guidebook, almost oblivious to what is taking place around him.
