We never would have thought that any association could possibly be made between the two but this is quite brilliant.
One of the most defining movies of all time, Scarface will be remembered for scenes of extreme violence, a powerful performance by Al Pacino and one particular catchphrase and it certainly isn’t something that could be made appear humorous by mixing in a laugh track and familiar background noises from Seinfeld, one of the most popular comedy shows ever made.
Just as he managed to do with Breaking Bad, a show with similarly dark subject matter to Scarface, Matin Atrushi (
matincomedy on YouTube) has managed to pull it off, taking three scenes from the cult gangster flick and making them seamlessly appear as scenes from an easy-going, light-hearted and inoffensive sitcom.
Fans of both Seinfeld and Scarface will agree that it’s impressive work, although we’re not sure Tony Montana will be so happy when he sees how he’s been sent up…
