Apart from the obvious, one of the main reasons why people from all over the world enjoy staying in Irish hotels is because of the excellent service that’s provided.

Our tourism industry has an incredibly strong reputation and a large part of that is down to the professional and friendly manner of the staff.

There’s no denying that Irish people have a unique way of looking at the world and this is probably best personified by this brilliant answer given by Paddy, an employee at the 5 star and ‘official best hotel in the world’ Ashford Castle in Co Mayo, when he was asked if he planned on installing Sky in his home.

A few years ago, the hotel was featured on the TV show ‘Richard E Grant’s Hotel Secrets’ and this particular moment was only just flagged to us by JOE reader Darren Strogen.

Paddy’s answer is the very definition of Irish quick-wit and cheek. The clip may be old but the answer will always be gold. Take a look.
