Another week, another set of new additions to Amazon Prime Video library! There will definitely be something in the ten upcoming movies that you’ll want to check out…

ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA

Steve Coogan’s very funny feature length comedy as the legendary Alan Partridge sees him in his very own version of Die Hard, when his radio station is taken hostage by a fellow DJ (Colm Meaney).

BOY IN THE CORNER

A powerful crime drama, which sees a young man with big dreams and aspirations, done dirty by the system and pushed towards a potential life of crime.

DETECTIVE KNIGHT REDEMPTION

Here is the official plot synopsis: “In custody in New York, Detective James Knight (Bruce Willis) finds himself in the middle of a jailbreak led by The Christmas Bomber, a brutal fanatic whose Santa Claus disciples are terrorising the city.” Despite that, it still has a surprising 67% on Rotten Tomatoes.

FISHERMAN’S FRIENDS: ONE AND ALL

This 2022 comedy-drama sequel, the group of fisherman who found a new outlet as a group of singers find it difficult to readjust to their ordinary lives after performing at Glastonbury.

GLADIATOR

Hot off the back of the news that the upcoming sequel is set to feature Denzel Washington and two of the best young Irish actors around, why not go back and (re)watch the Russell Crowe-fronted modern classic?

GUILTY CONSCIENCE

This 1985 mystery-thriller sees Anthony Hopkins going to some extremely inventive lengths in order to kill his wife in what could be the perfect murder.

RAMS

Sam Neill and Michael Caton play two estranged brothers who are forced to work together on their farm when a rare illness threatens to wipe out all of their sheep. The comedy-drama has an impressive 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.

SEARCHING

Sorta-sequel Missing arrives in Irish cinema later this month, so now is a good time to dive into this really very good thriller about a father (John Cho) trying to locate his missing daughter using nothing more than her laptop and mobile phone.

THE WOLF OF WALL STREET

Out of all of the Scorsese & DiCaprio pairings, this is arguably their most purely entertaining effort. Bonus points for Jonah Hill’s scene-stealing supporting turn.
