What will you be watching tonight?

You’re back in work tomorrow. You don’t want to be going out and getting locked when you’ve to get up early in the morning. What does that mean?

Well, it means that if you’ve already watched everything that’s on Netflix, then you’ll be flicking through the telly for something to pass the time.

We’ve put together a list of the six best options on the box tonight.

Speed 2: Cruise Control — RTÉ 2 — 21:00

The 1990s were a simpler time. Back when audiences were less cerebral and you make successful films about vehicles that simply could not slow down. This is the second instalment of the Speed series, in which someone hacks into the system of a cruise ship as part of their evil plan. Starring Sandra Bullock, Jason Patric and Willem Dafoe.

Madagascar — Channel 4 — 17:35

The obligatory “something to distract the kids” option.

An extremely star-studded kids movie that features animals making a daring escape from Central Park Zoo in New York, in an attempt to return to the wilds of Madagascar. Features the most iconic penguins ever seen on-screen. Boasts the voices of stars like Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith and Sacha Baron Cohen.

The Wolverine — E4 — 21:30

Wolverine’s story might well be over now after the heartbreaking events of Logan, but Hugh Jackman always turned in great performances as Wolverine — arguably the most iconic member of the X-Men, thanks to this series. The Wolverine is the second film in the Wolverine franchise and is pretty classic superhero fare with the additional bonus of Hugh Jackman.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective — Comedy Central — 19:15

One of Jim Carrey’s most memorable performances and that’s saying something. Ace Ventura is laugh out loud funny and also has the nostalgia factor too.

There’s Something About Mary — Comedy Central — 21:00

A funny movie about everybody falling in love with Cameron Diaz. Involves jizz.

Inception — SyFy — 21:00

One of the most widely-discussed sci-fi movies of recent times. Christopher Nolan might be best-known for his Batman trilogy, but Inception was a big enough deal that it’s already an unforgettable part of his legacy. Feature high-quality performances from Leonardo Di Caprio, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page, Inception will have you on the edge of your seat and scratching your head to the very end. And beyond.

If you’ve never seen it, that’s the obvious number one choice tonight.
