Family Guy fans will be delighted to hear that Brian, the beloved martini drinking dog, may be coming back from the big kennel in the sky after all…
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Brian, voiced by series creator Seth MacFarlane, is set to return to the animated Fox comedy in some way, shape or form on the Dec. 15 episode.
However, just how exactly Brian will the re-emerge from his grave (he was given a proper burial in the last episode) is still unclear, but we’re sure his re-emergence will come in spectacular fashion – it is Family Guy after all, so there will probably be a big song and dance involved.
Speaking about the decision to kill off Brian, Family Guy executive producer Steve Callaghan said: “We thought it could be a fun way to shake things up.
“As soon as this idea came up, we started talking about what the next couple episodes could be and we got very excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters.”
The episode set for December 15 has been titled ‘Christmas Guy’ and the official logline for the show reads as follows: “Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas”.
