First we got Star Wars, next we’re getting raptors…

In May 2018, JOE sat down with Bryce Dallas Howard and her Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom co-star Chris Pratt to chat about their latest dino-blockbuster, and somehow the conversation swung around to involve Funghi, the dolphin from Kerry.

It was a hilarious few minutes, and well worth checking out here.

Jump forward a full year, and JOE have sat down with Bryce again, this time to chat about her role as Elton John’s mum in new musical biopic Rocketman.

Across the interview, we cover everything from go-to karaoke choices, her accent work potentially getting her a role in Eastenders, and the difficulty of playing an “evil mum”.

However, the Irish angle came up again, as JOE had heard rumours that the upcoming Jurassic World threequel was being partially filmed in Ireland.

The new trilogy closer isn’t due in cinemas until June 2021, so we understand why Bryce was so hesitant to discuss specifics, but her reaction to the “Is it filming in Ireland?” question is both hilarious, and more-or-less fills in some blanks in the rumour itself.

Check out our interview in full right here:

We were also lucky enough to chat to Taron Egerton, who plays Elton himself in the new biopic (you can watch that interview here), as well as the movie’s director Dexter Fletcher (interview here).

Meanwhile, Rocketman is in Irish cinemas right now, and you can check out the trailer below:
