New Ozark episodes are coming to Netflix very soon.
Netflix has dropped a new trailer for the fourth and final season of Ozark, the first part of which will premiere on the streamer later this month.
For those unaware, the hit crime drama centres on financial advisor Marty Byrde (an against type Jason Bateman) who drags his wife Wendy (Laura Linney) and kids from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder money to appease a Mexican drug cartel.
Thanks to its complex characters, twists and turns and dark ominous tone, the show has grown since premiering in 2017 into becoming one of Netflix's most popular programmes.
Perhaps due to that popularity, the streaming giant made the decision to increase Ozark's episode order for its final season from its traditional ten episodes to 14 in order to wrap up the series' storylines.
The first seven episodes of the fourth season arrive on Netflix on 21 January, with the latter half dropping at an undetermined later date.
The most recent trailer is the first to give fans some concrete details as to what they can expect from the new batch of episodes.
It appears Marty and Wendy will be trying to help broker a deal between ruthless drug cartel leader Omar Navarro (Felix Solis) and the FBI that could enable the couple to exit their life of crime.
However, the trailer hints that former ally Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), hot-headed local criminal Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery) and the Byrde family themselves could threaten their plans.
The plot synopsis for part one of the fourth season reads: "Freedom from the cartel is seemingly within reach, but fraying familial bonds may prove to be the Byrdes' ultimate undoing."
