Plot’s it all about? Liam Neeson loves getting revenge for things. Be it someone kidnapping his daughter (Taken), ruining his trip to work (The Commuter), kidnapping him (Taken 2), ruining his trip abroad (Non-Stop), kidnapping his wife (Taken 3), or ruining his trip home from work (The Grey), he’s forever seeking revenge for stuff.
This time, he’s getting revenge for someone killing his son, but unlike those other times, he isn’t some well-trained bad-ass who can handle himself. He is just some snow-plougher in the Rocky Mountains, but he isn’t going to let that stop him for killing the gangsters who took his soon away from him.
Based on an amazingly dark Scandinavian thriller titled In Order Of Disappearance (which we fully recommend you seek out), if this remake (which has the same director as the original) can maintain the original’s uniquely twisted tale, then we might be on to a winner here.
Plus we will literally watch ANYTHING with Liam Neeson in it, because he is a ledge.
