For a very important cause.

Popular actor Colin Farrell takes centre stage on The Late Late Show this Friday night, with something different on the agenda than the usual promotional guff.

Indeed, Farrell isn’t in town to plug a new movie – though his most recent one Widows is “the best heist movie since Ocean’s Eleven” according to our man Rory Cashin – but rather to highlight important work that he does with a leading Irish charity.

Farrell works closely with DEBRA Ireland, an organisation that provides support to patients and families living with the debilitating skin condition known as Epidermolysis Bullosa or EB.

He will sit down on the couch alongside Emma Fogarty, who suffers from EB, to talk with host Ryan Tubridy about living with the condition.

The pair will also discuss how their friendship blossomed through working with DEBRA Ireland.

Elsewhere on the Late Late, iconic newsman and Morning Ireland presenter Bryan Dobson will provide a rundown of the biggest stories of 2018 with what sounds like a slick enough visual presentation, while comedian Brendan Grace will also be on hand with a joke or two.
