Derry Girls fans will love this tribute to Michelle’s best insults and Orla being away with the fairies

Paul Moore

Derry Girls

This will make the wait for Season 2 much easier.

Sláinte motherfuckers!

When she’s not giving us the gist of the famine, telling us about the teacher that was cable-tied him to the monkey bars and dry ridden, or cursing like a f**king trooper, there’s a softer side to Michelle Mallon of Derry Girls because despite her big talk and promises, she’s just as clueless as the rest of them!

The first season of Lisa McGee’s comedy really registered with Irish viewers because everyone could relate to some aspect of the Derry girls…and the wee English fella.

Brash, unapologetic and totally clueless, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell’s performance as Michelle left a lasting impression but the exact same can be said about Louisa Harland (Orla).

Remember when she thought that lies made the Virgin Mary cry and these fell down to earth as rain? Sister Michael really put it best by saying:  “Yeah, you might want to think about wising up.”

With Season 2 looking like it will air in March, these tribute videos from Hat Trick will fill the void very nicely.

You really have to feel for poor James…it’s just a shame that the disdain and hatred that Michelle delivers in her lines are superb!

Take a look at some of Michelle’s best moments here.

Let’s not forget everyone’s favourite space cadet, the wonderfully mad, Miss Orla McCool.

Finally, if you’re looking for some withering looks and remarks, Grandad Joe’s never-ending vendetta against Gerry should do the trick.

“I’ll get you yet, boy!” Terrifying.
