Our TV movie pick for tonight (Wednesday, 24 June) is Escape from Pretoria, the 2020 thriller starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Based on a true story, the film follows two political activists who are jailed in South Africa's Pretoria Prison in the late 1970s and begin plotting their daring escape.

As security tightens around them, the pair risk everything in an attempt to break free.

Radcliffe stars as Tim Jenkin, with Daniel Webber playing fellow prisoner Stephen Lee.

Ian Hart and Mark Leonard Winter also star in Escape from Pretoria, which earned strong reviews upon release, with many praising its tense storytelling and Radcliffe's performance.

Also earning solid reviews upon release, it holds a 73% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, with many praising its tense story and Daniel Radcliffe's performance.

Escape from Pretoria airs tonight on Film4 at 9pm.
