Finding Dory is blowing all other animated movies out of the water.
The highly anticipated and long awaited sequel to Finding Nemo only hit US cinemas this weekend.
Finding Dory was announced all the way back in April 2013, so it is no surprise the film built up some hype.
According to Box Office Mojo, In it's opening weekend Finding Dory made $136.2 million dollars in the US alone, with a whopping $186.2 million made worldwide. The film also opened this weekend in countries such as Australia, China and India.
This means that Finding Dory now holds the record for the largest box office weekend for any animated movie ever.
The film has now knocked Shrek the Third of the top spot, its record was $121.6 million dollars back in 2007.
Finding Dory picks up a year after where Finding Nemo left off and tells the tale of Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) in her attempts to find her family.
It will hit Irish cinemas on July 29.
