The first stop on Hector’s USA roadtrip involves everything from cruising in the General Lee to singing in a gospel choir.

In case you haven’t heard, Hector is back on TG4. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be following him on an epic journey “Ó Chósta go Chósta” in the USA as he travels from Georgia all the way west to California.

The very first stop on this massive adventure is in the great State of Georgia, where he’ll be getting a taste of what makes the south so special. From chatting with truckers driving 18-wheelers to talking politics with an ex-marine running a private militia, it certainly isn’t your average trip Stateside!

It airs tonight (Thursday, 24 October) on TG4, or you can also catch up on the TG4 Player from anywhere in the world.

Hector speeds his way into the US and after a brief holdup by the cops, the roadtrip begins in Georgia as Hector takes to the waters with Captain Charlie Phillips. He links up with Sheriff Larry Dean to get the lowdown on how safe Georgia is before meeting up with former marine, Chris Hill and the Georgia Security Force III%.

He’ll be singing with the Gospel Choir in Martin Luther King’s Church before taking a spin in General Lee as he revisits his young days of the Dukes of Hazard. From guns to racism to high school sports he gets his first taste of America on his epic journey.
