One of The Good Place characters was indirectly killed by one of the Parks & Rec characters

MIND. BLOWN.

Michael Schur is a bit of a genius.

He is the creative genius behind Parks & Rec, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place, three of the best sit-coms not just of last few years, but arguably of all time.

If you haven’t been watching The Good Place yet? Ya basic!

Fans of his series have always been keen on keeping an eye for connections between his shows, and those who were paying attention to the teeniest details spotted this during the flashback scene to Jason’s death in The Good Place:

If anyone’s safe was going to be made sturdy enough to ensure that whoever may have locked themselves inside was going to STAY inside, it was Ron Swanson.

However, there was never any concrete proof that the Swanson Safe Company had any direct ties to P&R’s Ron Swanson, unless you are a fan of The Good Place: The Podcast, and are one of those people who don’t skip over the adverts.

Hidden in there is a product placement for… the Swanson Safe Company, and the voice you’re hearing is Nick Offerman, aka the actor who plays Ron Swanson, who is forced to read a disclaimer “Do not lock yourself inside the safe, with a snorkel, thinking it will help you breath”.

Meanwhile, with the hour-long season premiere set to land on US TV on Thursday 27 September (so we should get it on Netflix here on Friday 28 September), the first glimpse into the first scene of Season 3 has been “leaked” online, and it looks as hilarious as ever.
