Brace yourselves Sherlock fans, he’s back.
And, fingers-crossed, the detective’s awesomely-evil arch-nemesis, perfectly portrayed by Irish actor Andrew Scott, will also return to our screens in a brand new Sherlock special, followed by a series of three new episodes.
Yesterday the BBC, as well as changing their official Twitter handle to “Sherlock – #221back”, sent out the following cryptic tweets hinting at the show’s return. Nudge nudge, wink wink…

Here at JOE Towers, although we were slightly underwhelmed by Series 3 of the much-loved show, cannot wait to see Bennyballs Cabbagepatch, Martin ‘hairy Hobbit feet’ Freeman and, hopefully, the super Scott back on our screens, sleuthing and scheming once more.
In the meantime though, here’s a reminder of just why we love the magnificent Moriarty so much…
