ITV are reportedly “gearing up” to start work on Winter Love Island

JOE

Love Island

Love Island’s been on for a whole two weeks now.

During that time, a lot of things have happened.

Hearts have been broken, cakes have been thrown, and problems have been solved exclusively by Curtis, the island’s professional ballroom dancer.

Despite all of this bangin’ content, there is never enough Love Island to go around and that’s why when news of a potential Winter Love Island dropped onto our collective radars, we were all over that shit.

And yeah, we know, we know, a Winter Love Island technically already happened a few years back in the form of the wildly unsuccessful Survival of the Fittest.

But that was terrible, and this sounds alright.

The Sun reports that ITV producers have been in talks about launching another Love Island-esque show this winter.

The show in question will be shot in South Africa and will act as a replacement for Channel 5’s CBB which will no longer be airing.

“After the flop of Survival of the Fittest producers want to keep the format simple and mop up the gaping hole Celebrity Big Brother left with reality TV hungry audiences,” said a source.

“Winter Love Island makes sense as fans adore the drama and love triangles and everyone wants to enjoy a bit of sun on screens in the cold winter months.

“It’s still in the very early stages and casting isn’t even close, but producers at ITV Studios and crew are definitely gearing up for it.”
