The English actor’s star continues to rise…

A report in Variety says that ’71 and Skins actor Jack O’Connell will star in Don Quixote which is based on Miguel de Cervantes’ classic novel and which Terry Gilliam has been trying to make for a very long time.

This is reportedly the seventh time Gilliam has tried to make the film and he’s confident over getting off the ground this time around with early 2016 tipped to be when they start shooting.

As for O’Connell’s role in the movie, Variety says he’ll play “Toby, a jaded commercials director who travels to Spain for a shoot and comes across a gypsy who gives a copy of his student film — a lyrical re-working of the Don Quixote story set in a quaint old Spanish village.

“Moved by the discovery, Toby sets off on a bizarre road trip to find the little village where the student student film was shot and gets caught up in a series of catastrophies.”

He’s hot property at the moment isn’t he.

Hat-tip to Variety.
