It has an 81% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Our TV movie pick for tonight (Saturday, 16 March) is Jagged Edge, the 1985 neo-noir legal thriller movie starring Glenn Close and Jeff Bridges.
The film centres around lawyer Teddy Barnes (Close) who reluctantly takes up the case of publisher Jack Forrester (Bridges), who is accused of murdering his wife for her money.
“As the trial develops, she is kept guessing right to the very last minute as to whether Jack is an innocent man or a cunning, manipulative murderer,” the plot synopsis reads.
Coming from the same writer as later cult classics Basic Instinct and Showgirls, Jagged Edge’s dark twisty story and great performances led to it scoring an Oscar nomination in the supporting actor category for Robert Loggia, as well as an 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The legal thriller is airing on TV tonight at 10.55pm on the channel Legend. It is also available to rent on Apple TV and the Sky Store.
