In terms of Irish fighters, it's very possible to describe her as "The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be."
After making it 12-0 following her
successful defence of the WBA and IBF lightweights against Eva Wahlstrom last month, Taylor's professional career has seen the exact same results was as her amateur days, wins.
With news that she's set to take on Rose Volante, the WBO lightweight champion, in Philadelphia in March, Taylor now has the chance to hold her third belt.
Aside from this news about the fight announcement, Taylor has also been named as the best pound-for-pound female professional boxer in the world by BoxRec, the sport's official record keeper.
World titles, Olympic gold medals and some astonishing records are just some of the things that define her career in the ring, but outside of it, Taylor has been instrumental in promoting women's boxing around the globe.
