Neighborhood Watch, an excellent but underseen 2025 thriller movie, has been made available to stream at home.
Accessible through the service NOW, the film sees Jack Quaid (The Boys, Novocaine) play Simon, a man with paranoid schizophrenia. Recently released from a psychiatric hospital, he experiences vivid hallucinations and struggles to function in daily life.

One day, after a doctor's appointment, Simon witnesses a young woman being assaulted and forced into a van in a laneway.
Becoming fixated on saving the woman, he reports the incident to the police, who dismiss his claims upon learning about his illness.
Desperate, Simon turns to his grumpy neighbour Ed (Jeffrey Dean Morgan - The Walking Dead, Watchmen) for help, a reluctantly recently retired campus security guard who lacks purpose.
While Ed doubts Simon's claims, the pair take to the streets together to investigate.
Co-starring Malin Akerman (The Hunting Wives) as Simon's sister and carer, Neighborhood Watch is a refreshingly old-school buddy mystery thriller.
The movie succeeds thanks to its tight and gripping story, its unconventional but lovable central heroes, and the funny chalk-and-cheese chemistry between Morgan and Quaid.

The film is also 86 minutes long before credits, so it never outstays its welcome.
While Neighborhood Watch skipped cinemas in Ireland and the UK, going straight to digital, we're hoping that enough people watch the thriller on streaming that we can get a sequel, where Ed and Simon investigate another crime.
