Unless you’ve been under a rock for the last few days, you’ve probably seen the video of a family in Kerry trying hopelessly and hilariously to remove a bat that had flown into their kitchen.
If you haven’t, watch it immediately and even if you have, you should probably watch it again; it never gets old.
After Tadgh sent the video to JOE earlier this week, he and his parents, Maureen and Derry, became viral sensations as it was picked up by media outlets all over the world, was tweeted about by the likes of Gary Lineker and Joe Rogan and earned an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, one of the biggest chat shows in the United States.

From the very kitchen where the bat caused such chaos in the first place, Tadgh, Maureen and Derry conducted a video interview with Jimmy from across the Atlantic, with Basil, the dog who famously lost control of his bladder, also making an appearance.
The Flemings’ recounting of the entire episode was nearly as entertaining as the original video itself, which is probably no surprise considering that it has emerged that Derry Fleming was a star long before the bat video emerged earlier this week.
Keep an eye out for a special surprise Derry has in store for Jimmy towards the end; Jimmy himself and the studio audience got an almighty kick out of it.
