The actor played Batman in the 1960s and the mayor in Family Guy, but also starred in a number of movies.
Adam West was not honoured at the Academy Awards memorial segment on Sunday night, much to the ire of his fans.
The veteran actor died in June of last year aged 88 and was known for his time in the ABC Batman series, which ran for three seasons from 1966 to 1968.
He said that he played the role “for laughs, but in order to do [that], one had to never think it was funny. You just had to pull on that cowl and believe that no one would recognise you”.
Although he may be better known to younger readers as the man who voiced Mayor Adam West in Family Guy.
It is unclear why he was omitted from the ceremony at this time.
