Disney and Marvel apparently aren’t quite done with Loki just yet

Just when we thought we’d already said our goodbyes…

Day in and day out, there are more and more rumours swirling about the potential outcome of the still untitled Avengers 4/Infinity War 2/whatever it ends up being called.

Whatever ends up happening, we were all pretty sure we’d seen the last of Loki, considering how Infinity War kicks off.

But, apparently, the God Of Mischief isn’t quite done yet.

Variety are reporting that as part of Disney’s huge streaming service – the one they insist will have a lower subscription cost than Netflix and is due to launch in late 2019 – Loki will be getting his own series.

He’s not alone either, as the report indicates that he and the Scarlet Witch will be the first two MCU characters to get their own “stand-alone” series, which are expected to go between six and eight episodes each and are likely to star original stars Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen.

Each of the series are also said to have a budget equal to one of the MCU movies, but when Variety reached out to Disney and Marvel for official comment, neither replied.

These new shows will take place on Disney’s streaming service alongside Jon Favreau’s Star Wars series, a new series based on High School Musical, and a live-action version of Lady & The Tramp, set to star Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux.

In the meantime, let us enjoy Loki’s comedic highlight in the MCU so far…
