The manner in which Louis Theroux’s documentary went on Monday night shocked a lot of people.
On Monday night, BBC 2 aired The Night in Question, a documentary in which Louis Theroux examined American society and its outlook on sexual assault and consent.
He looked at a number of examples, and spoke to people who had been accused, and victims of sexual assault, and interviewed them in great detail.
Perhaps the most notable person who was involved in the documentary was Saif, a man accused of a number of counts of sexual assault, and who Theroux himself described as having “aspects of his version of events that simply didn’t add up”.
At one point, Louis grilled the man in question over the incident that was discussed throughout the documentary, to which he replied “It’s not my job to prove my innocence”.
The documentary ended by stating that Saif had been expelled from Yale, as he had been found guilty, and that he was now considering suing the university.

Wow! #TheNightInQuestion is another fascinating and shocking documentary by @louistheroux! Shining a hugely important light on consent and the processes involved when someone is accused of sexual assault. Well worth a watch for anyone who hasn’t just tuned in.

Must be a nightmare being a juror in this case. I've gone from thinking he was innocent, a victim and misunderstood. Now I think he's a manipulative, sex-crazed mass rapist and a psychopath. #LouisTheroux
