Hellboy - ITV4 - 9pm
Visionary director Guillermo Del Toro brings us this very entertaining tale of a demonic creature who has been raised to fight the good fight. Ron Perlman is perfectly cast as the big red antihero.

American Pie - Comedy Central - 9pm
One of those comedies that hasn't aged super well, but it is still the movie that introduced most of us to the greatness that is Jennifer Coolidge, so it isn't all bad.

The Predator - FilmFour - 9pm
A Predator movie from the writer/director of Lethal Weapon and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. We've no idea how it ended up this bad, but here we are.

Red - Legend - 9pm
In a plot that sounds eerily similar to John Wick, a man (Succession star Brian Cox) gets revenge on the sons of a criminal leader (Tom Sizemore) who killed his dog. 70% on Rotten Tomatoes means its probably worth a watch.

Minari

The storm is coming in Minari, our big pick for tonight

A Million Little Pieces - BBC Three - 10pm
Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays a drug-addled writer who goes to rehab for two months, and while there he meets some interesting characters. Not a great movie, tbh.

Saw - Sky Max - 10pm
With the impending release of the tenth Saw movie, which will actually take place right after this movie, showing the events between Saw and Saw II, now is as good a time as any to go back and check out the origins of this particular horror series.

Minari - FilmFour - 11.10pm

Our pick of the night is Minari, a fantastic drama released in cinemas in 2020. Going on to be nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture, it tells the story of a family of South Korean immigrants (headed by Stephen Yeun, of Nope and The Walking Dead fame) who try to make a new life for themselves in the rural United States in the 1980s. Scoring an incredible 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, Minari is already being called one of the best movies of the 21st century so far. If you miss it on TV tonight, Minari is also available to rent on Apple TV.

An Education - BBC Two - 11.15pm
A fantastic romantic drama about a young woman (Carey Mulligan) who finds herself being pursued by a man (Peter Sarsgaard) twice her age.

The Void - Legend - 12.45am
The staff and patients of a hospital find themselves under siege by the hooded members of a cult who believe the building houses a gateway directly to hell. A decently spooky horror.
