Netflix has just added 14 big movies to its library
Good news for anyone with a Netflix subscription...
Last week, Netflix quietly added 12 big movies to their library (that full list here), and now they've added another 14 to choose from. Starting with...
BURLESQUE
Christina Aguilera and Cher headline one of the campest musicals of all time. Good fun if you're in the right headspace for it.
THE DEEP HOUSE
We recently called this one of the coolest horrors of the last few years.
GREEN STREET HOOLIGANS
An American journalist (Elijah Wood) gets seduced into the world of tribal football hooliganism by a local troublemaker (Charlie Hunnam). 46% on Rotten Tomatoes.
HEART OF CHAMPIONS
We'll admit we've never heard of this movie, set in 1999, about an army veteran who takes over as coach for a college rowing team. Michael Shannon, Alexander Ludwig and Ash Santos star. 29% on Rotten Tomatoes.
HITCH
Back when rom-coms could dominate the box office, this very cute Will Smith/Eva Mendes/Kevin James outing made over $370 million!
HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET
A teenager (Jennifer Lawrence) and her mother (Elizabeth Shue) move into a new home, and soon discover that a terrible tragedy happened in... you guessed it... the house at the end of the street. This 2012 psychological thriller scored a paltry 13% on Rotten Tomatoes.
LUST, CAUTION
Ang Lee directs this entertaining romantic mystery about a young woman who gets swept up in the intrigue around a powerful politician.
MOONAGE DAYDREAM
One of the very best documentaries of the last decade.
MURDER MYSTERY 2
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston reunite for this lackluster sequel exclusive to Netflix which somehow has slightly better reviews than the first one.
NOAH
Russell Crowe stars in this biblical epic, as the man who predicts the great flood and goes about building a boat to save as many people and animals as he can. Jennifer Connolly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Anthony Hopkins and more star. Check out our chat with Crowe about his new movie The Pope's Exorcist below, which arrives in Irish cinemas this week.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4
Generally regarded as one of the worst entries in the PA series, this one introduces witches covens and brings back characters from the very first movie.
SCARFACE
The Al Pacino-headed epic crime classic. "Say hello to my little friend!"
THIRTEEN
A tough but rewarding watch, detailing the downward spiral of teenager Tracy (Evan Rachel Wood) into a life of underage sex, drug use and alcohol after befriending a new classmate. Holly Hunter, Brady Corbet and Vanessa Hudgens co-star.
THE WHOLE TRUTH
Keanu Reeves, Renee Zellweger and Gugu-Mbatha Raw star in this very average courtroom thriller.
