Yes it’s too early to mention Christmas but this is Home Alone we’re talking about.

Disney+ has set a November release date for its upcoming Home Alone reboot featuring Irish actress Aisling Bea.

Titled Home Sweet Home Alone, the movie will premiere exclusively on the streaming service from 12 November with the plot focusing on a married couple who try to steal back a valuable heirloom from a troublesome kid.

Thankfully, this revival of the beloved franchise has assembled a great cast, with Jojo Rabbit scene-stealer and child star Archie Yates starring.

Alongside Yates and Bea, amongst those involved include Rob Delaney (Catastrophe), Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Ally Maki (Toy Story 4), Chris Parnell (30 Rock), Kenan Thompson (SNL) and Timothy Simons (Veep).

Additionally, Devin Ratray, who previously played Buzz McCallister in the first two Home Alone movies, will appear in the film.

Macaulay Culkin is also reported to be making a cameo appearance reprising his role as Kevin McCallister.

SNL cast member Mikey Day is writing the movie, which will be directed by Dan Mazer (Dirty Grandpa).

Home Sweet Home Alone will be released on 12 November.
