Another selection of newly-added movies to choose from.

This day last week, we reported that Netflix had just added 11 big movies to its library, and now here we are, seven days later, and it has added another 12.

Starting with…

ALI & AVA

With 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, this romantic drama is probably worth your time, telling the story of two people who embark on a forbidden affair.

CITY OF EMBER

Saoirse Ronan, Bill Murray and Tim Robbins star in this post-apocalyptic adventure movie about an underground city that is about to lose all power, plunging its citizens into eternal darkness.

CYBER HELL: EXPOSING AN INTERNET HORROR

A documentary about a network of online chat rooms that were performing sex crimes, and the group of people who tried to track them and shut them down.

THE DEPARTED

Martin Scorsese’s Best Picture Oscar-winner is pure entertainment: a series of double-crossing cops and robbers, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Vera Farminga, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin and Ray Winstone.

FIGHTING

After all of his dancing movies, and before he came back to his dancing movies (but with less clothes on), Channing Tatum attempted to be a big Hollywood action star. He single-handedly makes this underground boxing drama watchable.

THE GAME

David Fincher directs this dark psychological thriller about a multi-millionaire (Michael Douglas) who has his life turned upside down when his estranged brother (Sean Penn) gives him a unique birthday present…

THE GOOD LIAR

Helen Mirren and Ian McKellan star in this decent thriller about a con artist and the rich woman he has set his sights on.

JARHEAD 2: FIELD OF FIRE

Remember that 2005 war movie with Jake Gyllenhaal? This is the sequel to that movie. It has absolutely no connection to the original movie, and has so few reviews that it doesn’t even feature on Rotten Tomatoes. Do with that information as you will.

LION

Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and Rooney Mara star in this tear-jerking true story about a young man who, after 25 years of separation, sets out to find his family in India.

SENIOR YEAR

Rebel Wilson plays a woman who awakens from a coma after many, many years, and decides she wants to finish high school and become prom queen. It… isn’t great.

SPONTANEOUS

The movie sounds bonkers – a group of high schoolers start exploding without cause – but trust us, this weird comedy horror is definitely worth a watch. 97% on Rotten Tomatoes!

TURBO

The animated comedy about a snail (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) who dreams of being the world’s best racer, only for a freak accident to gift him with super-speed! Voice cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Maya Rudolph and Bill Hader.
