Who in their right minds doesn’t dream of having the perfect utility room in their house?
Kelly Dolan, wife of former Westmeath footballer and current RTÉ pundit Dessie, certainly does and the Dolans’ obsession with that room proved a major talking point on Room to Improve on Sunday night.
Regular Room to Improve viewers will know that it doesn’t take much for Dermot Bannon to get into an argument about plans for the houses being transformed on the show, but plenty were nodding their heads in agreement when he questioned the fuss being made over the utility room.
Far more fuss, for example, than was being made over Dessie’s games room.
Still, as is usually the case on the show, things worked out in the end, but not before the nation discussed (see below) the pros and cons of a room often deemed as an afterthought when it comes to building a house.
