OFFICIAL: Rush Hour 4 is coming with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker both on board

Paul Moore

Fans will be very happy.

Despite the fact that the Rush Hour trilogy was definitely subject to the law of diminishing returns, the nostalgia factor is high on the action-comedy.

Get set because Rush Hour 4 is coming and fans of the saga are bound to be very happy.

Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?!?! It’s coming.

Appearing on ESPN’s The Plug podcast, Chris Tucker confirmed plans for another film in the saga. When Tucker was asked if he and Jackie Chan would ever team up again, he said: “It’s happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”

Tucker’s confirmation comes a few months after the iconic Jackie Chan admitted that the script for Rush Hour 4 will probably be finished “next year” – which should be now.

The original Rush Hour earned an impressive $244.4 million at the worldwide box office against a budget of just $33 million.

To paraphrase Carter, ” 244 million dollars? Man, who do you think you kidnapped? Chelsea Clinton?”

Brett Ratner has directed the previous Rush Hour films but his involvement in any future film is uncertain after the recent sexual assault allegations that were made against him.
