Ardal O’Hanlon turns 49 today and to celebrate, we decided to revisit some of the most memorable moments from his most memorable character, Father Dougal Maguire. Happy Birthday Ardal.
Monaghan-born O’Hanlon is one of Ireland’s best known comedians and as well as starring in Father Ted, he has been involved in projects such as My Hero, the RTE series Leagues Apart, Val Falvey, TD and is a regular on the stand-up circuit.
It is as Father Dougal Maguire that Ardal will best be remembered, however, and on his birthday, we decided to trawl through the archives for another look at some of his finest moments. We could have picked about 50, but below are ten of our favourite Dougal bits.
Enjoy!
