The 2026 action film is from the makers of Bullet Train and Nobody.

Pretty Lethal, the latest action thriller movie from Prime Video, is climbing up the streaming charts.

The movie revolves around five ballerinas (played by Avantika, Iris Apatow, Lana Condor, Maddie Ziegler and Millicent Simmonds) who are on their way to a prestigious dance competition.

Already barely on speaking terms, things go from bad to worse when their bus breaks down in a remote forest.

With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by a reclusive former ballet prodigy (Kill Bill's Uma Thurman).

"From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong—and the ballerinas' worst instincts prove right," the plot synopsis adds.

Pretty Lethal comes from 87North, the production company co-founded by filmmaker and stunt performer David Leitch (John Wick). 87 North is best known for making movies filled with hard-hitting, balletic action, such as Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train, The Fall Guy and Nobody.

So, it only feels right that they have now produced an action thriller literally about ballerinas.

Having premiered at the SXSW Festival earlier this year to decent reviews, Pretty Lethal dropped on Prime Video last week.

It has since made the No. 2 spot on this week's JustWatch movie streaming chart for Ireland.

You can read a sample of some of the positive reviews for Pretty Lethal below:

Blu-Ray.com: "Pretty Lethal is reliable entertainment with a handful of highlights, reaching its potential when it finally gets around to creating panicked scenarios for the main characters."

Common Sense Media: "Pretty Lethal finds the right combination of bloody violence and sheer silliness that will appeal to fans of the genre and those looking for 90 minutes of joyful chaos."

Film Feeder: "Pretty Lethal is a silly but enjoyable ballet-centric action movie that is aware enough of its own preposterousness to focus on delivering fun fight choreography over more necessary plot and character development."

Mama's Geeky: "Bloody, violent, and absolutely hilarious, the fun lies in all of the wild, gory kills that these ballerinas pull off when their backs are against the wall."

Punch Drunk Critics: "This is the kind of movie [for which] you could gather your friends together, buy an extra-large bag of popcorn, and just have a blast."

TheWrap: "Perhaps Timothée Chalamet might appreciate ballet more if the dancers strapped X-Acto knives to their shoes and sliced assailants’ necks with every spin."
