Viewers were exhausted just watching Room to Improve last night

It was a tough slog but they got there in the end.

Room to Improve fans were probably sure that the episode featuring Daniel and Majella O’Donnell from earlier this season wasn’t going to be topped, but nobody that tuned in will forget Sunday night’s episode in a hurry. This week, Dermot met Christine, an IT manager who recently purchased a house in Clontarf (or was it Fairview or even Marino?) and turned to the nation’s favourite architect in an effort to convert it into the house of her dreams. Christine certainly had an idea of what she wanted – her wish list was 25 pages long and included a “New York-style kitchen” – but whether her budget could accommodate those wishes was another matter entirely. It wasn’t the smoothest of processes – Dermot even accused the house itself of having “notions” at one point – but viewers couldn’t take their eyes off it for a second in what was a highly entertaining episode all round.
