This is VERY different to the teenage witch we're all used to, and it is all right there in the new title.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.
And we don't think the new show is going to be about Sabrina chilling out with her pals, and kind of going on some very relaxed, laid-back adventures.
No, from the looks of the trailer, there are some very demonic goings-on happening, as Sabrina (here played by Kiernan Shipka, of Mad Men), finds herself "wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit".
Coming from the same folk who recently gave Riverdale the more mature overhaul for Netflix, there is enough in the teaser to suggest that Sabrina's chilling adventures will be tapping into influences from the likes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Exorcist, and... well... The Witch.
That birthday scene alone definitely gave us some "Would you like to live deliciously?" vibes, and we are 100% here for that.
Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, which co-stars Jaz Sinclair, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, Richard Coyle, Ross Lynch, and Tati Gabrielle, will premiere on Netflix on Friday 26 October.
