Sadly there is no Darth Cillian O’Shea on the list…

Much like the Death Star clock that was counting down until the destruction of Alderaan , we have a clock that ticks down the minutes and days until the release of Star Wars : Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

It’s 372 just to be precise.

The perfect teaser trailer introduced us to John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Issac’s characters but we can now reveal their names.

Cue epic Star Wars music and a drum roll from the Cantina band.

JJ Abrams confirmed the names via some old school trading cards and we can tell you that Boyega’s stormtrooper will be called Finn, with Ridley’s character named Rey and Isaac’s X-Wing pilot known as Poe Dameron.

We’re loving the Gaelic roots for the trilogies newest hero, John Boyega, and for those interested the name means fair and also soldier from our extensive research.

Ridley’s character has been tipped to be the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia which would give her one of the coolest names ever, Rey Solo.

R2-D2 must be jealous at the amount of love that the new droid, BB:8, has been getting recently but there’s no need for him to contact the new uber-badass Sith warrior, Kylo Ren. Could this be Domhnall Gleeson?

JOE has put that new lightsaber on our Christmas wishlist along with the Millennium Falcon. We’ve been good this year so we’re expecting these items on Christmas morning.
