The city of Albuquerque put on a brilliant spoiler-filled send off for Breaking Bad

Yeah Mr White! Yeah long overdue Breaking Bad stories!

Before we go any further, JOE would like to let you know that this article contains quite a number of major Breaking Bad spoilers so tread lightly…

It seems like only 21 days, 8 hours  and 32 minutes since we watched the fantastic finale of Breaking Bad, but who’s really counting, eh?

WE’RE COUNTING! THAT’S WHO! Oh God we miss it so much. *JOE cries uncontrollably*

Fifteen minutes later…

Sorry about that, we’re just suffering from some quite severe Breaking Bad withdrawal issues at the moment.

It seems like the embarrassed staff of JOE aren’t the only ones missing the adventures of Walter White and friends though as, according to the US news report you see below, local Albuquerque fans actually arranged to stage a send off for their beloved Heisenberg, organising a fictional funeral that included a hearse, a beat-up RV and a real headstone:

Makes perfect sense really, especially as some other fellow fans had already posted a brilliant real obituary for everyone’s favourite chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin in the Albuquerque Journal.

Not everyone was impressed with the event, however, as a number of families protested, concerned that this new grave will draw too many tourists to the site, mere metres away from the real graves of their own loved ones.

For $20, the ‘mourners’ were also able to throw dirt on the great man’s (fake) gravesite at Sunset Memorial Park but thankfully, funds raised from the event are going towards helping the city’s homeless population as opposed to funding some sort of new up and coming Chrystal Meth empire.

The greatest thing though was that the funeral procession had its very own police escort through the city, something we’re sure that deceased DEA agent Hank Schrader probably wouldn’t have been too happy about.
