According to the Independent, the show's producers are looking for "GAA lovers from across the nation to voice their opinions on what’s on the telly."

The show will start filming in the coming months, and interested parties can contact Miriam.Smyth@KiteEntertainment.com. It's hoped that the show can reproduce the popularity of the UK version, which was voiced by the late Caroline Aherne.

"In Ireland, they’re going to focus on regional families, so there will probably be a family from Dublin, maybe one from a rural, farming background and then a sports-mad GAA family," said a source.

"They’re keen to get a good cross-section of families so that viewers will find it more relatable.

"They particularly want big characters who aren’t afraid to speak their mind – and who love watching television."
