The first episode from the new season of The Simpsons aired in the US last night and it saw one particular character being axed from the show for good. But who was killed?

If you don’t want to know then this is your VERY last chance to click away from the page, because in just a few mouse scrolls you’ll know who was killed off The Simpsons cast line-up for good.

Are you sure you want to know?

Really sure?

Well before we tell you, and to ensure there’s a bit of space between our warning above and the actual answer as to who was killed, here’s a look at a few of the characters that were rumoured to be biting the bullet in the season 25 opener titled ‘Clown in the Dumps’.

None of the beloved Simpsons characters rumoured above bit the bullet (for now) and instead the Simpsons character that died in last night’s show was… Krusty’s dad, Rabbi Hyman Krustofski.

That’s right folks, in last night’s episode, Rabbi Hyman passed away while sitting in his office chair during a conversation with Krusty, who was feeling down in the dumps following a comedy roasting by Jeff Ross and Sarah Silverman. Check out Jeff’s roasting below…

Roughly a year ago, Simpsons producer Al Jean revealed an Emmy-winning character would be bumped off. “I’ll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character, but I won’t say who it is,” he told a Canadian newspaper.

Krusty’s dad was voiced by 83-year-old comedian Jackie Mason who won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his work as Rabbi Hyman on the 1991 episode, Like Father, Like Clown.

So there you have it. Rabbi Hyman Krustofski joins Maude, Bleeding Gums Murphy and good ol’ Grimey as yet another character to be killed off from the show. Who will be next?
