#TRAILERCHEST: Soldado, the sequel to Sicario, has a trailer that will get under your skin

Soldado

That soundtrack. Jesus.

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Soldado, the tense-as-fuck sequel to Sicario.

Plot’s it all about?

After discovering that drug cartels are smuggling terrorists across the US border, the CIA sends Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) and former undercover operative Alejandro (Benicio del Toro) to eliminate the problem. Along the way, Alejandro revisits his old nemesis to settle scores.

Denis Villeneuve may not be in the director’s chair this time around – with Stefano Sollima stepping in – but the sense of dread and claustrophobia from Sicario remains in place throughout the trailer, as del Toro’s assassin is given free rein to deal with some very shady characters with extreme prejudice.

The soundtrack will send chills down the back of your neck within seconds, and this will definitely be one to watch out for in 2018.

Starring: Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Catherine Keener, Jeffrey Donovan, Isabella Moner.

Director: Stefano Sollima.

Irish release date: June 2018.
